Six Exercises To Slim Down Fast

So you want to slim down fast and keep those pounds off?  It may seem difficult but there are easy steps you can take that will help you meet your goal.  Unfortunately we have days where we give in and while making those fabulous smelling cookies, we keep eating just one or two until we have consumed a large amount.  At the office someone decides to bring doughnuts or candy and you give in and eat just one.

We all have to realize that you will occasionally have those moments and as long as they aren’t often, you can make other lifestyle changes, including small changes in exercise that will help you slim down and maintain a healthy weight. Making these changes so you can have a better weight will help build your confidence, give you more energy and have positive impacts on your health.

There are easy exercises you can do without having to join a gym or do killer workouts.

Six Exercises To Slim Down Fast

Brisk walking

Do this for around 20 to 30 minutes daily. If you walk at a rate that you can talk and you find a walking buddy, you will be more likely to continue this habit; however, if you just up the amount of walking you do each day, it will make a difference. Investing in a pedometer can be an inexpensive way to help you increase your walking.  Aim for 10,000 steps a day or more.

Most people walk about half of that so any increases will help.  Park far away from the store and walk across the parking lot, take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a walk at lunch, and get up from your desk during the day throughout the day and walk as much as possible.

You will find that not only will you begin to slim down fast, your attitude and work output may improve.  If you are capable of running and wish to do so, then pick up the pace and go for a jog for the same duration of time in order to lose more calories.  Jogging and running burn more calories but walking will also so don’t be discouraged–just increase your energy output in the best way for you.

Deep breaths

Although this may not appear as a form of real exercising, deep breaths actually do initiate the oxygenation of your blood throughout your body which enables the burning of calories at a better and faster rate. By taking deep breaths you are also working out your abdominal muscles and your pectoral muscles above strengthening your lungs and upper body. Rich, oxygenated blood also improves mental function and mood.

Crouches

Performing a crouch by bending your knees and lowering your body up and down allows your blood flow to be consistent and free throughout your lower body and your abdomen. Do around 5 minutes worth of crouches every hour throughout the day. You will find that not only will you enable a smoother blood flow but your leg muscles will become stronger and more toned.

Bicycle Crunch Abdominal Exercise

This form of exercise is crucial in toning the muscles under your belly. To perform a bicycle crunch abdominal exercise lay flat on the floor with your back pressed against the ground. Place your hands beside your head or behind your head and bend your knees to a 45 degree angle. From there pedal your legs slowly as though you are riding an invisible bicycle.

Sit ups on an Exercise Ball

This will aid in the toning of your stomach. The more you do over a period of time, the more workout your abdominal muscles will undergo and therefore the better the effect will be. Start off with 10 sit ups in a row and slowly build this up to 50 to 100 a day. Remember a slow start to your final goal is always necessary in order to not over exert yourself. In order to perform sit ups on an exercise ball, just sit on the exercise ball and perform regular sit ups from there.

Stepping

This can be done by just walking up three flights of stairs per day or by just stacking mats on your floor to the same height of one stair (approximately fifteen inches high). Stepping is literally the action of stepping up onto the map and stepping down from it. Repeat this action for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Although this exercise may appear to be silly, it definitely provides a very good work out for your calf and thigh muscles as well as your bottom!

It is crucial that when performing all the above mentioned exercises, you will find your muscles burning over time. Regardless of how desperate you may be to lose the excess weight, ensure that you are working yourself in moderation and according to your abilities in order to not over exert yourself. Take breaks regularly and always rehydrate yourself after sweating. Without exercising correctly, your chances to slim down fast decrease as it does rely on the burn and the overall health of your body. Take care of yourself and listen to your body.

Remember, increasing your exercise in small ways will help.  Find an attitude of wanting to do something good for yourself.  Look for ways to eat better, lower your empty calories, cut sugared beverages and all soda, increase your water intake and your activity level, and enjoy the moments of each day while you slim down fast!
